The shape of the Olive tree trunk comes from a romantic story: the trunk is divided into two sides, one that lives and one that dies.

The living side keeps walking around the dead one, and never leaves it alone, following the sunlight from east to west. Italian Olivewood’s pattern is unique, artistic and easily identifiable, thanks to the irregular, multicoloured grain that sets it apart from other woods.
